hello made from coloured clay

At Elmwood we understand that it can be daunting to come to church for the very first time or move to a new church or come back if you haven’t been for a while. Our friendly congregation will make you feel very welcome and everything that happens throughout the worship will be clearly explained.

On a Sunday morning service starts at 11am, but it doesn’t matter if you’re running late, come along anyway. Worship usually finishes around 12 noon. We have different worship leaders each week so the style of service varies but it is generally informal and interactive with a mixture of readings, songs, short sermons and sometimes dramas and videos. Our music tends to be a mix of traditional hymns and modern songs accompanied by our organist or an iPod and speakers.

Don’t worry about bringing children to church and them being noisy or disruptive during the service, Jesus said “let the little children come to me” and we love to have children around the place. We have craft activities within the main worship room for children but can also run a junior church upstairs.

We tend to have between 10 and 20 people regularly attending on a Sunday morning ranging from toddlers to over 90 years of age! There is no dress code, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and enjoy worshipping with us. You will be made to feel very welcome and included, our congregation will chat to you, but on the other hand if you would prefer to sit at the back for quiet contemplation that is fine too.

The building and garden area is accessible to wheelchairs and we have disabled toilet facilities on the ground floor but if you have any particular needs before coming along please contact us.
